Imani Pledge
 

1.    I give my word that I will LISTEN to others when they speak and out of respect I will look at the person speaking.

2.     I give my word that I will NOT fight during school, after-school, and inside of school and I will encourage others to do the same.

3.     I give my word that I will take time to “cool down” when I get anger. I will TALK things over with someone who can help me.

4.     I give my word that I will APOLOGIZE if I hurt someone. I will work on forgiving others and I will not hold a grudge.

5.     I give my word that I will use my hands to HELP others. I will NEVER use my hands to hurt others.

6.     I give my word that I will use RESPECTFUL LANGUAGE to all people, including good manners.

7.     I give my word that I will call each person by their NAME; I will not call any person and their family members a name that will be hurtful.

8.     I give my word that I will select entertainment and games that supports my FAMILY’S VALUES and I will avoid entertainment and games that makes violence look exciting, funny, or acceptable.

9.     I give my word that I will show RESPECT to all people here at Saint Martin de Porres School and to all school property, both inside and outside the building.

10.  I give my word that I will CHALLENGE violence in all its forms whenever I encounter it, whether at home, at school, at work, or in the community, and to stand with others who are treated unfairly.
