| On this feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Church marks also the World Day of Prayer for the Sanctification of Priests. As St. John Vianney observed, “Priesthood is the love of the heart of Jesus.” So, on this day, we pray for our priests to remain ever faithful in their pursuit of holiness. The Vocation Office is pleased to share this new video today, featuring highlights from the ordination of seven new priests on May 20, 2023. The celebration, held at the Cathedral Basilica of Ss. Peter & Paul in Philadelphia, was a joyous occasion for the whole Archdiocese.
